I have yet had another Carrie Bradshaw-like epiphany that I think is worth sharing, but be warned it’s a little less glamorous then the everyday musings of the Sex and the City fashionista.
However it must be addressed, as I’ve realised yet another aspect that both sex and life have in common.
They can both get dirty. Really dirty. And even more then that people can play dirty, and that’s when the lines begin to blur.
Handcuffs, whipped cream and the dominatrix attitude will only take you so far. While some prefer to play in this manner, I feel that it must be reminded that an element of class and self-respect is necessary to find a healthy balance when fulfilling life’s guilty pleasures.
And by guilty pleasures what exactly do I mean? Over the recent weeks I’ve learned that in terms of life, people play dirty by thinking that others won’t notice their cunning attempts at taking what isn’t theirs and even more so taking the easy way out. While it’s pleasurable to take this route, people forget that the most rewarding factor of success is seeing that hard work and originality (if there even is such a thing) pays off in the end.
So be warned, doing this truly diminishes beauty that derives from hard-work whether you’re working towards a goal in life or working up a sweat while sharing a passionate moment with a loved one.
For some I’ve noticed that their guilty pleasures lay within the realms of taking what does not belong to them. So while one may think that they are succeeding… be warned you’ll end up guilty rather then with the pleasures you so desperately crave.
