Jacques Magazine has been a favourite of mine for some two years now. They’ve made an easy task of throwing back to the men’s magazines of yore, before sex mags went tacky and overtly pornographic. Jonathan Leder, director behing their short videos, teamed up with Kitsuné to help produce the latest video for the anonymous, London based Is Tropical. Black and white, sexuality and a vulture reference to praying on slowly eroding flesh/femininity… It’s as relevant as irrelevant can get. I love it.
