Tin-foil hat men and concerned mothers everywhere agree that we are becoming inextricably unified with machines. But artist and filmmaker Michael Sullivan doesn’t want to become unified with machines – he just wants to watch them have sex.
Apparently Sullivan took to the project/hobby following a failed career as director of ‘high-concept’ pornography, builder of sets and staff photographer for 1970s underground magazines. One of his subjects, Miss Deborah Harry formed the model for the face of the caretaker in the robo-nursery scene.
